ive always heard that witha new turbo, some oil gettin into the exhaust is common at first... how long does this usually last for about?

That never happened to me

 

that doesnt sound like it should happen with a new turbo? at first the seals leak a little bit and then stop? doesnt really make sense to me.

 

hmmm... well this is intresting... idk, thats what i awlways heard, and mines doing it... my oil press spiked up to 110 psi for about 2 seconds b4 i shut her down , so hopefully i didnt blow out any of the seals. it was burning a little oil before that too though... ill give it a little more time and see if it clears up.

 

I have never had that problem, but I could see it happening. It might leak until the seals wear in maybe?

if your rebuilt turbo leaks its time to get that bitch sent back and fixed.

 

im questining my return line now... its 3/8" ID which jsut might be too small...what do you think? also, my supply is 1/4" line with a 1/8" fitting at the ends, so at the very end, it will only be 1/8"...

 

oil pressure is holding about 50psi on a cold idle....
