are these turbo ok for sohc vtec? look
TE04H
td05h (from 1st gen dsm) IHI RHB5 t28 t25 i know most of these can work, but which one is better off for good spooling and still good power at 7psi? and also, is it expensive to find the 02 housing for the RHB5 turbo or not? |
Re:are these turbo ok for sohc vtec? look
plz? how to get 02 housing for the IHI

Re:are these turbo ok for sohc vtec? look
go with the td05 or t25. The rhb5 is to small and the rest would have other problems. If you already have the RHB5 sell it.......trust me I used one and was very upset with the turnout. Had lots of problems from the very start. Go ahead and buy a turbo with a o2 housing attached. i.e go to a junk yard and pull the whole assembly. good luck

Whoah, hold up man. Think about your long term plan here. Are you planning to boost higher than 12 later on with a rebuilt D16?

Re:are these turbo ok for sohc vtec? look
for now just 7-8 psi with this turbo, i'm going to learn the basics doing thsi homemade stuff, then later i'l get a precision turbo custom and built block with at least 15 psi (want to push 300whp)
so the IHI is pretty ---- eh? i haven't really heard good ----.. i'll think i'll go with t25 |
