just bought a ihi rhb5 for y8

here is the complete model number

ihi Turbo Spec. VF 48903 PartsNo. 14412AA032 RHB5

I know most are quick spool and run out of breath up top

what will this be like on my y8

 

bump no one has anything on this turbo

 

i got one on my car (d16z6) runs 10 psi all the way to 7500 rpm's dont run out of breath at all

 

I've set up two of these turbos with great results.

One on a d15z1 vtec-e at 15psi and it went for months lol. Was extremely fun to drive around in.

 

im running the vj-11 on my y8, only at 7psi for right now but it pulls all the way to redline

 

everyone has said never use this turbo but alot of people use it,,,thats why i was wonderin

 

people who say that are tools that think if you dont have 300hp then it aint worth doing :1

 

Got a VJ17 on my Saturn. That's the Thunderbird turbo. I've heard the Probe guys swap the compressor from the T-chicken snail onto the turbine from the Mazda engine for a cheap gain. You can find the VJ17's for free in the Turbo Ford circles. They can't run away from the things fast enough!

 

ghetto your cup of tea must not be the automatic right well on turbod16 a 4door auto on a stock d16z6 made 220whp 190twp and ran consistant 10's in the quarter,,,i like the consistant boost and always having boost when shifting,,,but in a year or so i will swap out to a 5 speed
