Default Teflon or not

so i'm going to install a oil press. gauge tommrow with one of tuner toys take offs. i've heard mixed reports about using teflon tape with any oil fittings involved.


What do you guys think/recomend, and whats the reasoning?

If you are using NPT fitting, telfon is required. The "T" mean taper fit, which does not seal.


You don't use teflon on flare fittings, like -AN and such.

i use teflon on everything.. ---- sometimes i eat it to keep me strong, yeah thats right!

Your ---- should like just slide right on out and leave your cornhole sparkling clean since nothing should stick to it with the telfon your eat. lol.

Just make sure you wrap the tape correctly. It should only be wrapped one way.

just dont use it on extremely high heat or gas lines

I use that or pipe dope. Just don't go overboard and get it in the oil.
