You can rotate the center section right now since you dont have the Ring on it. But if you want to rotate/clock the compressor housing you have to remove the Snap ring inside.



Not a tE04h, but same style..



Besure to use a good set of snap ring plyers otherwise the tips will break, Just squeeze hard and it will come out, sometimes it helps to spray some lube in there and tap on the ring with a screwdriver/hammer.



Once its out besure you know which side goes down.. Beveled side usually goes up.

Once the compressor is clocked you will need to redo the wastegate mounting, and thats entiriely up to you. Might be kinda a pain in the *** with that compressor to mount something.

Also, one last thing...on a TE04H, after you get the snap ring off and rotate the compressor housing. If you STILL need to rotate the exhaust housing as well for whatever reason then you have to pull off the exhaust housing and there will be a little dowel poking up from the mating surface that you'll need to grind down.

Yes be sure to make sure the bevelled side faces outward from the compressor when putting the ring back in so it can wedge itself in there real good.

i have that centre clip off, but the centre section wont rotate?? also can someone point out which hole is the oil in out and which is water for me. :1
