In that case a T3 is better for your 1.6.

.60/.63 T3 on the B16....big boost at the higher rpms..and since the B16 revs higher it will really ------- move. also they are easier to find

.48/.60 T3's are the best all around T3's for Daily Driver IMO. but i wouldnt be afraid to buy the .60/.63...i have a feeling it would pull really ------- hard in comparison to lets say a .42/.48

Re:T3 vs T3/T4

if your really not looking for lots of boost. try a t3 with a .42/.63 setup. by opening up the turbine youll free up power and the best part is that itll keep the turbo out of its boost threshold until you hit the vtec cross over. sure itll have lag but thatll be ok. when the boost hits itll blow you out of your seat. dont go with a .48 turbine for a low boost setup itll be so restrictive that itll take 4 psi of boost just to get back to making stock power.

and since youll already have a large enough turbine for more power later ( with wheels upgrades) youll be able to get cheap s60 setups ( good enough for 300hp easily). id also aviod calling turbonetics as they tend to recomend turbos that are just way to large.

just stuf to chew on. Oh and since your blessed with and adjustable LDA with cam gears id highly recomend toying with it. youll find that advancing the exhuast cam timing really wakes it up on the low end.

Re:T3 vs T3/T4

T3/T4 is easily a 400hp turbo, and running it on engines making less than 300hp is just... stupid.

My friend has a T3 in his 99 SI, that thing freaking hauls. I'm not sure about how big the compressor is but it is the T3 that comes in the Drag3 turbo kit.

Re:T3 vs T3/T4

the drag3 kit comes with a T3/T4 and for a b-series i think thats just about perfect for huge power and street drivability. but i'm not saying the big super 60 T3 isnt bad ass either. those expensive drag3 kits come with T3/T4's even for the d-series kits!! :o :o

Re:T3 vs T3/T4

At the moment i was going to use the 14b on my stock B16... I know T3 and T3/T4 will haul ass... any thoughts on the 14b on a B16 in terms of how the power range will be? I know i'll full spool early on... But since Im only going 7-8psi do u think that the 14b is ok for this application?
