T3 turbo from a apex-i d-series turbo
I'm currently using a turbo from a apex-i kit that was made for a 1.5 (d-series) motor. (I have a B16a2) All the rest of the set up is getto junk, but it works well at 6psi, spools killer fast. What I'm tring to figure out is if this turbo flows enouph CFM to feed 10 or 12 psi into this motor, or is it too small. The stupid turbo has NO label for the trim numbers on it, so I'm not sure what it is. All I know is that it's a T-25 and that it's out of the apex kit, but that's it. (is there any way to measure the turbo to see what the trim is?)

bump the boost up a little and go for a panty-ripper run.
Keep going up, and see what the but dyno says...
That Apexi the ball-bearing one? Must be nice actually having bottom end power on that thing.

Speaking of the the panty ripper run do you think I'm safe tring this?...just as long as I listen for ping, or could it get hot enouph to hurt something? Keep in mind..I'm in Denver (5300 feet up!). By the way, I do have bigger injectors, but still the stock fuel pump.

Re:T3 turbo from a apex-i d-series turbo
in Honda Tuning magazine their budget boost crx (d16z6) uses a DSM t25. They said it topped out at 211hp @ 14psi.
my guess is that its blowing hot air at the pressure.
what do the DSM guys upgrade their cars with using a replacement turbo only.. as in keeping the DP / Manifold etc.. ?
