T3/TO4E Too big for a stock LS???

Is this true? My cuz thinks so, he says the compressor housing might be too big. This is what i have now on my LS and its pretty slow. I put out (171.9whp and 162.5tq). on stock exhaust... RAN 14.2 best.. in EG6
because i was thinkin bout getting another turbo perhaps a T3 Super 60 like Johnny...

I want to put out over 200hp! DAMN...
maybe its my setup.. I also have some oil coming out of my turbo going through my charge pipes.
I have drove on open dp, but really did not feel much diff.

I need help... :'(

Specs:
Turbine: .48 AR
Compressor: I think is .50 AR, not sure... its the turbonetics one...
Trim: 57

Re: T3/TO4E Too big for a stock LS???

---- no, that turbo is great for an LS. something is wrong with the car only making 171. I would start with the exhaust. We made 171 on an LS with blow rings.

oh yeah and the boost was at 11psi!! WTF!! and Uberdata, Josh ROss tuned it. All he said was i should run open dp.

I did that , and i really couldn't notice a big difference... Maybe i got blown seals or something.
I have no idea...

Oh if i need seals, wat kinds of seals? how much would it be? would i need to replace the whole middle part? Or just buy new seals?

FRANKLIN YOU JUST DONT LISTEN, YOU CAN'T RUN STOCK CIVIC EXHAUST AND EXPECT TO MAKE MORE THEN 170 HP, PUT AFTERMARKET EXHAUST ON IT AND LET ME RE-TUNE IT, I BET WE CAN HIT 250 NO PROBLEM

Re: T3/TO4E Too big for a stock LS???

i say leaking charge pipes. some people over look that.

Re: T3/TO4E Too big for a stock LS???

dude, if your turbo is leaking out oil every where and in the charge pipes then the seals are most likely gone! that very well may be the problem if the turbo is blown.......but for sure.....TAKE OFF THAT DAMN STOCK EXHAUST!

Re: T3/TO4E Too big for a stock LS???

yeah man, do you have an oil pressure gauge? what size feed line are you running? does your return line go straight down with no sharp bends or kinks? i'd get that ---- figured out before you ruin that turbo :-\

Civic exhaust meaning Civic SI ( 99-00 ) exhaust or 92-95 civic exhaust, WAY different in size tiger.

Anyone else notice that huge gap inbetween the downpipe flange and the exhaust housing?

Re: T3/TO4E Too big for a stock LS???

have you tried taking off that filter? and it seems your wastegate is dumping basically right by the inlet of the turbo...

Re: T3/TO4E Too big for a stock LS???

there is so many little things wrong with the setup. Cutting corners seems to do this pretty good to people.
