puttin this on a 99 y7 lower end with forged internals and a ported a6 head. have a good mani and 2.5 all the way pack. will my motor be able to spin this beast?> i bought it new for 290 and i could fit my whole ihi rhb5 i had in the air inlet haha.

 

i would go with the 60/48, i liked it on my A6 it just needed more than the 6-7psi it was feeding...

 

At what rpm did it start to boost?

IMO that is the best Sohc turbo size there is.. I have a 60/63 T-3 60-trim, but only b/c I got it freshly rebuilt for $100..

 

I meant the .60/.48 is the best, not the 60/63...

 

guys where the hell can i get the 3 bolt downpipe flange to fit this turbo i bought one off of ebay and it was 2 small....errr

 

Couldnt you make one, It looks like a pretty simple pattern.
I'm thinking about buying one of those $290.oo super 60 turbos, What do you think you if it? Good condition?
Is it realy that much bigger than the ihi, If I recall corectly a rhb5 is a/r .42/.48 . It dosent seem that much bigger. heh probably is, I'm going to buy one anyways.

the ihi is like 32/38 and the t3 could prob fit the ihi in it its way bigger. ill take a pic. but yeah for 290 i was verey inpressed

 

The A/R is a ratio...not a direct measurement. apples to oranges fellas.
