T3 A/R .80 is that too big?
Thinkin about buyin this turbo pretty cheap. needs a rebuild. Its a garrett with M-24, and A/R .80 stamped on it. is that too big for a B18A1? Mods to this motor are as follows:
Forged SRP 8.5:1 pistons, eagle H beams, 450cc injectors, high flow fuel rail, Skunk2 pro series intake manifold, 64mm throttle body, also running Johnny racecar fmic, 2.5" piping, and 2.5" exhaust. Using Uberdata. this car is still in the build stage, I have everything I need but a nice size T3. will this one work or is it too big? Also how much of a pain is it to rebuild it? thanx.

Ya, going to be a bit laggy, Cams and a P&P is gonna help out a bit, plus with 8.5:1 CR isn't going to help out much. With the low RPM window of the LS you might not be able to utilize the flow of the turbo.
I would be an HP beast those if you could spin it!

Probably the same turbo I saw on Ebay yesterday. I think it's going to be way to large for you. Second gear isn't going to make much of a difference. There's just no point in having a turbo that spools right before redline on a street car. You would be much happier with an a/r in the .60's or a hair larger.
