I just got my t3 manifold and t3 airesearch tubo. is that a decent turbo? and does anyone know if a 99 gsr J pipe would be any different than the 94? ( as in O2 fitting and size if it will bolt to my cat)?????

you need to post pics of the turbo.
what are the stampings on the compressor and turbine housings.
what kind of manifold did you get?

I've been running a 42/48 one off a Volvo on my sohc civic for about a year now. It may be too small for your dohc depending on what size it is.

Could be just about anything, 42/48, 48/60, 63/60, and a couple more too that were not uncommon.

The compressor will have it on the outside near the brand label I think.

The exhaust side will have it on the inside of the inlet on one of the long sides.

OK lol i found it is 42/48 and my manifold is a blox and im only doing like 6 psi..... just to be super safe and wanted to know if anyone knew if a 99 gsr down pipe(jpipe) would work on my 94 gsr???

and this is made by garrett isnt it?

Re: T3 AIResearch

Yes, i believe its made by garret, if you're using it on a 1.6 it should give you descent results, 1.8L I would look for a 60/63

Do you mean the down pipe (dp)? If so, it would have to be the same exhaust, manifold and turbo. There might be some coincidence that they are the same alignment, but most likely not.

if you have the mani, turbo and downpipe, just bolt them up and find out!

Let me get this straight, you buy the turbo and manifold they you ask if its decent ? Anyways i think the 42/48 will be all right for his first turbo car. If later you think its too small, sell it to me for $80

yea, im doin custum dp d dsm 450 injectors a ebay front mount and piping with hks bov. im just tuning off of boost gauge and air fuel and im doing feul pressure regulater and i have an eagle one entire oil line setup including oil pressure switch. I should have plenty of feul to feed vtech and turbo but i would do in tank pump but there like 250 and i should be fine with just injectors and fuel pressure regulater.

You need a little more to "tune off" than boost and i assume a autozone a/f gauge...wideband. Seach it.

I hope your gonna chip it or at least use an afc...

Dont waste your money on a fuel pressure regulator.

fuel pumps are like $80 from xenocron...he's a sponser on this site.

SEARCH SEARCH SEARCH GAWDDAMNIT!!!!

er, did you buy the dp? i don't think that t3 will bolt up to most std 5 bolt dp flanges (assuming ur using an ext wg). if not, ur gonna have to have a "j" or dp made to bolt up to that 4 bolt int wg. gl.

LOL...your gsr is going to fall flat on it's face past 6500. That's a great turbo for a D16...not so hot for any b-series. You should get at the least a turbo with a .48 a/r exhaust if you want a quick spool, or .63 a/r if you want alot of up-to-redline power. And at least a .60 a/r compressor housing...60 trim would be preferable.

Re: T3 AIResearch

It will have one huge torqu cure down low though. :1 A stage 1 .48ar exhaust will definately restrict it, and combined with high IAT's, it will probably feel like a B20 with a 1" exhaust and 'torque chamber' intake manifold at redline, assuming it will be able to. You are fully aware you could trade someone for cash+b18b1 and buy a much better turbo with that cash and be faster, right?

As far as that downpipe - depends on the turbo, manifold, and other ---- used to make that downpipe. If it was made for that same manifold and turbo you have, it will probably work fine, otherwise expect to play 'cut & reweld' for a day.
