Default t3 60 trim or t3/t4

I have a b16 with stock internals
cca intercooler
450 dsm injectors
shitbird short tubular manifold

my question is what turbo should i get for my set up. I have been looking at the compressor maps and the t3 60 trim seems to be a good match.

Does anyone have real world experiance with a t3/t4 on a b16 with stock internals.

should i go with the t3/t4 (b or e) and if so what trim should i go for

no on the "real world experience" but I can point out the fact that your stock internals aren't going to be able to withstand the full boost capabilities of the hybrid turbo.

It is ONLY a 1.6L man, I think the 60 trim would be a very fitting choice.

Honestly a .60/.63 is a great turbo for a stock b16, it spools really fast but I like a little bit of lag and t3/t4's are going to push more peak hp. I'd go with a T3/T4E w/ a (.57 trim) .63 exhaust housing.

Good for over 300whp,

leed has had a few different t3 and t3/t4 setups on his b16a. He has a big SC61 on there right now that is really laggy, but makes mad power on th top end.

nothing wrong with jumping on the hybrid bandwagon if you have the built motor to back it up... why jeff just did it.

the 60 trim is all a selection of spool time, you might want to also consider the smaller 48 trim one

the good thing about going t3/t4 is that next summer im thinking about puting pistons and rods into it. I dont mind lag that much, im looking for a for full boost (8psi) around the vtec crossover.

Im also using TE for managment

If you are planning on building it, and you dont mind lag, go with a (.60 trim) t3/t4 w/ .63 ex side.

oh yeah, what's your budget look like on this thing?

another limiting factors in your average HMT kit is most people don't have over $200 to throw down for a turbo.

im going to get my turbo from the down2turbo guy on ebay. My freind got a t3 60 trim from him and his car runs great.

He charges 300 for a t3 remanufactured.

and 100 more for a hybrid.

so i dont mind spending a little more on a turbo.
