t25 wastegate
Ok here is the question:
I have a t25 I am putting on my d16a6 and I want to run around 6-8 psi on it but the stock actuator is i think 10 right? well how can i fix that? |
Re:t25 wastegate
the stock actuator is set at 8 psi. on a dsm it is 10-12 psi because it has an electronic boost controller or somethin on it. but if u want to lower it below 8, u could legnthen the actuator arm, but it will spool slow.

Re:t25 wastegate
^^^word. If you want lower boost you're better off buying an actuator with a lower setting to avoid massive gains in spool time.

Re:t25 wastegate
8psi aint that much..i think even with an fmu and retarded timming he can get away with it.

Re:t25 wastegate
the stock T25 wastegate is set at about 12psi. you'll need to either thread the arm so that you can lengthen it, or take the actuator apart and replace the spring with a softer one.
and before poeple say that i must have gotten a messed-up actuator, i tried THREE of them, all with the same result. |
Re:t25 wastegate
my t25 was about 12 stock and even with a lengthened actuator it spools fully at 2k RPMs and makes 8psi to redline. bitches.

Also, how in the world do you open the actuator to put a new spring in? |
Re:t25 wastegate
you cut it open at the crimp, replace the spring, rtv it to seal it, then make a clamp to hold it all together
