t25 adapter plate ??help!!

Default t25 adapter plate ??help!!

my buddy has a t25 from a 98 GSX and a adapter plate going on a STD manifold...

it fits fine but the hex bolt holes are bigger than the gasket will cover, half of the hex bolt holes arent even covered by a gasket...will this leak? anybdy ran into this problem?

yes it will leak, its a big flaw in that design. Some people have been just living with the small leaks, or making a custom gasket... Or filling the holes with some type of high temp epoxy.

I got a perfect adapter plate for you. Had it made but it was not finished in time before I installed the kit with a manifold that I bought. I don't have a way of sending pics but this is how it was made: Took the hf gasket and made a steel plate resembling the shape, made a plate like the t25 gasket out of steel plate and connected the two with a 3/4" steel piece (pipe). I don't know how the shop did it but there aren't any fat welds visible, the pieces look like they are a single piece. Vey well and professionally done. let me know if interested
