Supercharged Honda b16a using a Toyota SC14

Hi there, just thought I'd share a bit of info about my supercharging experience.
I've designed and fabricated my own brackets to fit the SC14 neatly in place of the aircon unit. I designed the overall setup, fabbed and welded all the charge piping, and personally street and dyno tuned it on Crome . . . all in the space of a week. A b20/vtec supercharged setup is currently in the making. i was thinking about doing this on to my h22... since i have the sc14.... this is very informative.

kind of an old post but why would you remote mount a roots type blower? there designed to to go on the engine, replacing the intake manifold. a better option would have been a centrifugal type supercharger. a lot smaller and more efficient. probably could have saved the ac by using it. anyway! good job though.

1. Using factory A/C location allows quick and easy access to the S/C 2. Using factory A/C loom to control the S/C 3. Using factory A/C pulley belt tensioner 4. The SC14 is readily available 5. An intercooler can be installed 6. S/C unit is well cooled from be hind the front bumper The entire kit can be put on and removed in less than 45mins (each way). ALL components can be easily accessed. The intake mounted kits are a pain in the a$$ to install, remove, access and require all sorts of modifications just so it works . . . They heat up terribly due to lack of cooling and are generally just a fancy looking waste of time in my opinion. Thats without getting into the cost . . My kit cost less than $NZ1100 all up from start to finish. The kit I developed, made just as much power as a 'jackson racing' kit, so why not remove the extra hassles . . |

I read all of your threads on NZH. I joined just to read them lol. Im trying to get this setup to work on a BA4 89 prelude but the space is a joke. I think you should get access to a prelude and engineer me a kit ;)
