i have a friend who may be upgrading the turbo on his 2002 wrx. i was wondering what would be a good price for his stock turbo. also could anyone direct me to a site for specs on subaru turbos. i found a couple but none that show what year the car they come in. thanks.

 

100-150 for stock turbos on ebay.

 

they go for 100-200 normally, might be a little small for your motor though

 

Yeah I would also say its kinda small for a B series. It feels good on my D but I would never consider it for a B. If you see it in person you'll know what I mean. :P

 

great "alround" turbo for a D, but I'd never put one on a B-series.

Anyway, buy it for $100 and sell it for $150+ on ebay, and pocket the cash.

I think any B motor ( minus the LS ) should get a .63 turbine T3 with a compressor matched for your boost needs.

 

i believe it is supposed to be a TD04L-13G turbo. i looked around a bit but could not find any specs for it other than it is small. what about the IHI VF series turbos? do these come on any car from the factory other than j-spec subarus?
