Stock Turbo Manifolds Vs Aftermarket Turbo Manifolds
Turbo Manifolds Vs Turbo Manifolds
Okie this is how this debate started my Stock Exhaust manifolds Cracked in three places and after weilding it up again and again i had to get a new one. So i went to the Local. And he Said kewl he will Make me a Replacement. Stockhttp://www.iformation.co.za/scoupe/mani1.jpg New After Market replacement http://www.dp-engineering.nl/static/..._b_1_thumb.jpg Now as soon as i Got in the Car i Could Feel 30% of the power is gone. i was Very Pissed off. So i told him i am unhappy and he said "son you got to understand The Branch will Give You More Torque so in the Long Run it will be better for you". @ low boost it is very Dissapionting.... So i Put it On high Boost strapped it to the dyno and i got SOME BIG POWER AND TORQUE. but it was the first time i ever had the car on High Boost so who is to say he was right. im Sure the car would of made the same/more/Earlier power and torque with the stock manifold. Some Tuners have told me that turbo manifolds are all the same, you cant really stuff up a design. Then Some Other Tuners told me It must Be as Short as Possible/ Stock cos the Spool up of the Turbo Depends on it... The only reason why i went for a Different Manifold was cos the stock one was not avalible and i was under the assumption the tuner would try and recreate the Stock Manifold/Similiar. What do you guys think? what is your exsperiences? what do you guys demand? |
Re: Turbo Manifolds Vs Turbo Manifolds
If this is true, you are retarded. Your stock manifold is a poorly welded log mani?
If you want to learn about manifold design and the benefits of them go search around. |
Re: Turbo Manifolds Vs Turbo Manifolds
yeah those welds arent looking to good for that other mani.
|
Re: Turbo Manifolds Vs Turbo Manifolds
Okie Guys Forget about the Weilding im talking about Turbo Response/Spooling up of the turbo........
|
Re: Turbo Manifolds Vs Turbo Manifolds
basicly, the differnce with those manifolds is your a retard.
|
Re: Turbo Manifolds Vs Turbo Manifolds
WTF, you dont make sense, rather tell him he is talking ----.
Maybee he should of Asked if a Log Style Manifold is better than the Turned Manifold? What are the Pro's or Cons etc... |

This has to be one of the saddest threads. Now you guys get a glimpse of what us manifold making guys have to go through when people want ----. LOL

Re: Stock Turbo Manifolds Vs Aftermarket Turbo Manifolds
Schwitzer where the ---- are you from? Are you German? Is it a german thing to abuse the internet with horrible words like "okie" and "wielding". Do you actually have a manifold you would like input on or are you just dicking around trying to ask which is more beneficial, a log manifold or a ram-horn style? Wtf man...

Re: Stock Turbo Manifolds Vs Aftermarket Turbo Manifolds
I believe this thread is done.

Sorry about the Bad English and no im not German im Worse. The reson i asked which is more Benificial was because i made the reccomend swop from Log to Tubular and was dissapionted...... |
Re: Stock Turbo Manifolds Vs Aftermarket Turbo Manifolds
Please dont use the work kewl. Thats faggot AOL speak from the early 90's.

Re: Stock Turbo Manifolds Vs Aftermarket Turbo Manifolds
You probably got a cheap tubular manifold that the welds cracked on, right? If so take it to somebody who knows what there doing and have them re-weld the metal. Bracings wouldn't hurt either. Generally a tubular manifold will provide a better spool up due to cylinder pairing and improved exhaust pulsation flow. Think like the orientation of the runners, on a quality manifold, lines up the cylinders so the exhaust pulses all line up in a row, providing a more constant less violent airflow = better spool.
