I've heard of people doing these and wanted to know if they work pretty decent. I plan to use a stock z6 header and make it into a topmount. I have a t3/t4 turbo thats going to be put on. Novice at welding but it should get the job done, so any pics and info would be appreciated

Not going to be the best flowing though lol. Maybe a cheap aftermarket header or someones dented one would work great, oem dont flow for a ***** hair

Can always port the ---- out of the stock manifold... Or go some ching chong manifold and weld some bracing up.. That's how I'd do it if I couldn't fab

 

No sorry you cant efficiently port your stock manifold, it would take you 3 days to port any decsent size and smoothness out of that cast moulded 17 year old POS. Porting isnt just gasket matching, its full on, indepth throughout the runners.

Sinktrp is fine in my book, Im just saying there are better options, sinktrap is cheap ---- if you can squeeze it though

 

i dont see how a stock z6/y8 header would flow that bad, HF / cut up Y7 manifolds flow fine
