Default stock exhaust manifold on ford 4.6 sohc

Hi All

I’m looking to add a pair of turbo’s (holset xh35w’s from a junkyard) to my 2004 crown vic (don’t ask, very long story). I’m trying to do it on the cheap, and want to flip the stock exhaust manifolds around and plumb up and forward to the turbo’s. The problem is on the driver’s side, the exhaust outlet from the manifold hits the oil filter housing/ water inlet. I could possibly cut down the water inlet and snake the hose in, but it would be extremely close to the exhaust pipes.. any ideas of what to do in this sort of situation?

Thanks all,

cut the exhaust pipe and reweld the flange where you need it.
