Default stock exhaust

I'm thinking of putting a stock exhaust back on, but how much will this hurt performance with a turbo? The slower spool I could give two ***** about, but overall power I might care if it's a good difference. BTW, I'm not turbo yet, otherwise I'd slap on a stock exhaust to see for myself, but I want to see what everyone else says.....REAL experiences, not ---- you heard online.

I have never put a "stock" exhaust on my boosted car and I don't know if anybody else could/would have either. Why would you want to do this? Money?

Because I got an exhaust ticket the other day. Everything else on my car looks stock, the exhaust is the only thing. I would love to have a stock looking rex, I don't want attention, from anyone. If I put a stock exhaust on it would complete the nice look, but I don't want it to slow it way the hell down.

Oh, that sucks. You would just put the stock muffler back on right? I would look into an electric cut-out.

Nah, no cut out. I wouldn't mind a nice quiet exhaust anyways. Slap it on, and if it'd be fine I could sell the GReddy for some extra cash.

Ticket with a Greddy Exhaust? I thought they were 50 state legal.

"This is why we test each of our street systems in accordance to CCR 1036 and provide copies of this sound test to authorized GReddy dealers."http://www.greddy.com/technical/GreddyFAQs.htm#1

That's what I told her too, but she just kinda ignored it. Here's the part from greddy's website which kind threw me off about it "Although this is sufficient for many states with specific set maximum sound levels, it will not cover every state. Please check with your local government's laws. "

The other reason I want a quiet exhaust is I just don't want to give any cops a reason to pull me over.

That just means that they make sure they meet the 95db california law. You have to check your state for it's measurement.
Where are you located.

I'm in CA. I just don't want to give them reasons to pull me over. I'm sure now I'm going to a stock, or stock like exhaust.
