I found quite a few turbos online from this guy...any comments on how this would work on a stock b16. (looks like it would be almost perfoect to me) And, more importantly...do you think the turbo is worth the money. Ya know, from a reliability standpoint. Just the turbo, not the motor.

Yeah, it doesnt sound all that bad. it looks like a brand new (rebuilt) turbo. Might not be a bad way to start. I think i might get something from HMT.com classifides section, you can find just a good if not better turbo, for alot cheaper. Look around, but that ebay deal doesnt look all that bad. ---if thats what ur askin. and yeah, that would be a decent turbo for ur B16

 

Well, safice it to say..The turbo I have now is WAY to small (t-25...like a .38/.40 TINY), and I'm looking for something that pull all the way to redline without falling off. Spool up isn't that important but I don't want to get stoopid like 5000 rpm for spool. Thanks for the help...all I gotta do now is find the money tree in the back yard!

 

man, i've got a .63/.60 on my b16 and i love it! i only paid 150 for it also and it's in perfect condition, it doesn't spool up too much in first, but after that, it's over, i start seeing boost around 3500 to 3800 and reach full boost by about 6k and then it's curtains until i shift, i highly reccomend this size or even a .48/.60 if you want it to spool a little quicker.
