i agree 100% about what you have said here and what others have posted about the manifolds and such, which i am sure they do crack.

but when it comes to turbo failure, you have to consider a lot more than just the turbo itself. you must analize the install, componets, oil pressure etc...

there is a lot of things that can go wrong with a perfectly good turbo, oil feed, oil drain, type of oil, additives, oil pressure, etc....

if you have a bunk setup/install then yea, a turbo is gonna go quite quickly and i have seen some of the gallery pics of some of the setups you guys have all i can say is in some cases, i wonder how you made it down the street.

but like i said, i have had good luck with the turbo i got from them, and i have no issues recomending buying the same turbo i got, i would NEVER recomend any part from them i didnt get from them.

Right there shows that your blindly looking for excuses on how to defend this turbo. Besides what you may think its very hard to make a quality turbo fail. Turbo live off of very low oil pressures, in most cases you need to go out of your way to lower the oil pressure for the turbo. Just becuase most of the setups on this site don't look the best doesn't mean that they don't function.

My friend got one of these turbos and I told him to sell it cause it was a pos but instead he sent it off to get balanced cause I told him to at least balance the ******. They ended up grinding half the turbo off it was so out of wack. I can think of another member on this site that the nut on his compressor wheel just fell off.

There's no mistaken it, these turbos are just plain ----. Even a monkey can install a garrett and it'll last for 100,000 miles

by the way, did i mention that this "crappy" turbo took a 3600 lb tank (read: Monte Carlo) to a 14.0 @ 106 mph with a nice big crack in my crossover cause a serious pre turbo boost leak.

oh yea, 10psi as well.

once i get the crack welded up and get some more tunning done, it will be a low 13 sec car.

This doesn't mean its a good turbo. I used a T3 on my integra to run 12.9 @113mph that doesn't mean that the T3 was the best thing to use. If I would have used a more efficient turbo I would have ran even lower.

----, I even used a grand national turbo to make a tank of a Ford Taurus run a 12.7. Just cause you can make something work doesn't justify quality parts

wow, *just shakes head*

there are good turbo's out there, and just because it doesnt have AirResearch, Garrett, Turbonetics or that damn diamond symbol on the side doesnt mean its ----

im sorry if i am showing that a turbo that was bought from SSAC actually works and i am sorry for going against the grain of this site.

but its members like you on all forums that corrupt people into thinking that your train of thought is the correct way and brainwashed the community into thinking that SSAC is to be held accountable for another companies turbo's. and when disputed otherwise, the only comments you have is to belittle me by calling me a noob and trying to rally your troops on the band wagon.

the point is this and only this...

i am using a Master Power Turbo i bought from SSAC to get my huge sedan into the 13's (stock is 17's @ 78'ish mph), it has ran flawlessly for the last 7,000 miles/3 months.

btw, if SSAC is such a bad place, why not post a sticky stating as much, lock the topic and lock all posts after that that mention SSAC? oh yea, i forgot, its almost like that now.

pretty nice "democrocy" you have huh?

germ, seriously, it's really good that this turbo has worked out for you, but a lot of people have had very bad expereinces with them, you got lucky, but why even take the chance if you know better? my suggestion to you would be not to buy another one from him, chances of you getting that lucky twice in a row are slim. i'm not bashing the guy b/c "i know a guy who knows a guy who said it was crap", i use his products b/c i'm a cheap mother ****** and i make things work, but i'm not dumb enough to buy one of his cheap *** turbo's. THE END

Your an idiot. All turbos are not made equal. There is a thing called wheel design that would make one turbo more efficient than the other. Its fine that you have an autoshit turbo and I'm glad it works for you. But I'm NOT going to defend a product that is proven to fail time and time again when there are other better options out there for the same price.

There is no bandwagon here. A bandwagon is when people blindly purchase things without knowledge on the topic. If you've noticed I just said look at other options besides this turbo. Not which one to buy. This site is designed to help people. If I know that a product is bad than my advice would be to get a different turbo.

Here's another analogy for you. Say a bunch of kids are drinking paint. 99% of the kids die from drinking paint so everyone says don't drink the paint. But every now and than some kid comes along and says I drank the paint, I'm living so far so its perfectly safe to keep drinking paint and everyone who doesn't drink paint is a bandwagon riding idiot. Do you kinda see where I'm going??

What the ---- is this supposed to mean? Are you saying it would be better if we locked all the topics that mentioned ssautoshit? Are you saying this would make everything better? If you've noticed this topic hasn't been locked so yeah it is a ------- democracy.

a lot of people have had problems with Fords, Chevy's, McDonalds, Burger King, Maaco, Dealerships, Wal-Mart etc....

but does that stop people from buying stuff? nope, but when a few individuals have issues with some products that product cant be sold on the site? what kind of dictatorship is that?

but what about all the other people that have bought shitty products that didnt work? are those products banned from being sold on this site too just because a few members didnt have any luck with that product.

i understand "whoever" owns this site and runs it has the choice, but how many other satisfied customers have you came accross on this site?

probably very few for the simple fact that SSAC cant even be mentioned without that person getting flamed for buying the product EVEN THOUGH IT WORKS.

but you guys MUST keep in mind that i am ONLY talking about the Master Power turbo, NOTHING ELSE HE SELLS!

why is it so hard to give a good recomendation to a company when it seems that the general thought process of this site is that SSAC is bad?

considering this site is the only on that i have seen that actually has had issues with a turbo that was bought from them. the only other comments i have seen about SSAC is the cracking of their welds on the headers they make IN HOUSE.

i AGREE that their headers leave a lot to be desired, but you cant blame a company for another companies issues (i.e. Ford Explorer -> Firestone Tires. you can blame ford all you want but in reallity, Firestone is to blame for shitty tires)

you guys run your site how you want, and i will stand by a Master Power turbo, even if i dont by it from SSAC or some other place that sells that brand.

FYI, there are FACTORY desiels that use Master Power turbos on their trucks from the factory (Ford being one of many, especially European auto makers)

or a bandwagon means that everyone believes someone else becasue they appear to be a know it all. blind leading the blind.

by the way, i am trying to help the same people that you are.

since when did you become a statistics major? your only counting the few people that have posted on this site a maybe a few others that you go to and discuss your obsession with downgrading SSAC. there is more to this world then internet fighting.

no, i am saying that almost everythread that i have read has a handfull of people that will flood that thread with negitivity towards SSAC causing members to "think" SSAC is a bad company that MAKES turbos

BUT THEY DONT ------- MAKE THE TURBO'S. but yet you keep saying "SSAC's turbo's" but its not their turbo, they just sell the damn thing, get it right.

and when you lock classified adds for someone that wants to sell somehting they got from SSAC, there is your "democrocy"

so what if it was someone that bought a Master Power Turbo from Master Power, would they be able to sell it? NOPE because SSAC sells the same brand

btw, thats not democrocy
