Spray Paint I.C. Black 4 That *SLEEEEPER* Look ???
U guys think that spray-painting the IC Flat black will reduce it's cooling effect or clog the fins I'm trying to make my rex a Sleeper for SEEEEECRET RAAAACING.....

Go for it.
My IC is sitting on my deck lathered in paint stripper right now......
As far as cooling efficiency; your only coating the front of the IC, not inside the core.
Ill be posting pics Thursday.

we've been palying with the idea that a black ic might actually cool the charged air down more efficently than a silver on given the fact that no sunlight is on the ic...in our engineerng class we studdied that black is a color that absorbs energy ex..sunlight, but in the absence of light that black color will absorb another energy, such as heat..so in "thoery" if no sun light a painted ic would be more efficent than a silver one..
