Spool Time on a T3 Turbo .60 Intake .48 Exhaust.
i have a STD manifold and an adapter plate....
8psi ima set it at
what should the full spool time be and by what gear?
currently i have an IHI turbo STD and adapter plate and it spooled 10psi by 3rd gear at 6k rpm... thats kinda horrible i think..
1st gear does little to no spool.. 2nd gear 6psi...
i have a Dx tranny and a D16Z6 motor controlled by custom ecu . www.turboedit.org

Jesus, do you have any leaks? I know that's a small turbo, bu damn. Something is wrong for you to not be getting any boost in first. That can't be right....
That bitch should be at full boost by 3000 at the most in any gear. Check for leaks EVERYWHERE.

Damm i guess i would have leaks.. i mean by 3rd gear it says 10psi on my boost guage.. which is fine..
but in 1st gear i get nothing.. i possibly do have a leak somewhere..
would ignition be a problem?
its currently set to .60 degree per pound of boost
and hella rich i need to lean it out a bit...
but reguardless it should of spooled that ihi by 3000 rpm right?
maybe i have a charge pipe leak or something...
=(

Yeah, regardless, you have some sort of problem somewhere. That's just out of control.
I don't think the ignition could possibly cause that sort of problem. If it did you would notice that automaticaly.

Dr.Boost... ok i just got back in... i took apart the manifold, turbo, downpipe, checked all bolts.. they were all tight.. but i noticed one thing.. the internal wastegate isnt connected to the turbo.. its just hanging there it was laying against the block....
would this cause it not to spool like normal?
its set at 8psi but id always hit 10psi.
i guess id need screws to tighten it against the turbo where it goes..

The wastegate doesnt belong to the turbo.... its off some car at 8psi... beau rigged that one up..
but i managed to get 1 bolt on.. and i guess ima jb weld the other end of the wastagate flange to the turbo..
hopefully the turbo doesnt hit 500 degree
