Spark Plug Help!

I've searched and searched and searched and get about a dozen different answers for 2 steps colder plug numbers. I don't trust the ---- stains at my local parts place and want to give them a number instead.

I know the factory NGK is ZFR5J-11 (or something like that). Anyone know what the 2 step number is?

Any help is GREATLY appreciated! Turbo (and plugs) go in Thursday night!

Re:Spark Plug Help!

i think 7's are stock plugs on a sohc, but not exactly sure, im using zfr6f-11's, which is only one step colder, gapped to .030 and i have no misfires on a d16z6, and ill be changing them along with my oil this weekend, so i think the aformentioned 5's are 2 steps colder than stock, but unless youre running like above 10psi, i dont think you need to go 2 steps colder, just my opinion

Lower gap size = Colder Plug

This is absolutely no help... :)

I don't know what boost I will be running as I am not set up just yet and have no idea on the wastegate actuator. I have a Turbo Xs boost controller on hand just in case though and will attempt to go up to 8PSI.

1 step colder then?

For my D16Z6 both my mechanic & a rep from Nology wires told me that the NGk-4554 is one step cold.

All the searching I did ended up with threads like this... 17 plugs numbers. ;)

I'll give the last one a try and thanks!

I've actually been told that stock NGK plugs (copper ones) gapped to .030 should sufficient. I'm probably going one step colder just to be safe. :P

goto a honda dealer and they can give you the step colder plugs, stock plugs actually have a longer electrode or some ---- like that, it costed me 12 bux from the dealer for colder plugs.
