sorting out the demons
i got the setup on and what i thought was compressor surge was really just the internal wastegate being gay, but now i have a new found problem. i got the car home from driving it for a bout 30mins, not raping, taking it easy and keeping it out of boost. i get home and i wantto make sure my compression is still good. so i pull the spark plugs one by one checking the compression and each cylinder reads 150. the motor was still fairly hot, but the compression was all the same. so i try to start it and it backfire. so iturn off and i realized the plug wires were flip flopped so i changed them vback.i ran down to the gas station and filled up with 94. i went to my friends, and being the paranoid person that i am, i pull the plugs again and see that the plugs are mildly white. is this normal? and one of the plugs was a little bit black and smells a little like fuel. could that be because the wires were just flip flopped?
d16z6. i think it could have something to do with doign the check right after driving the car for 30mins. there isnt any signs of bad rings or anything, and the compresion was consistent, so it should be cool, i hope
