today he took his car to the local import shop to have them check out the prob with the VAFC. it was just a bad connection with the black wire (i was going over there today to check all the wires). the guy at the shop so called set it up for him so it would run right. i got there and looked at all the settings, they set it at -24 all the way across the rpm range (he has 440's and a 255lph fuel pump). he said it was dieing at every light. i changed the settings all around and fixxed the idle and everything was running great. he decided to take it for a test drive and i rode with him. he takes off down his street and the car is hauling *** and pulling good. at 85 he shifted to 3rd and we heard a pop and his car shut off . we tried to start it but it wouldn't. didn't sound like there was any compession. it rolled to a stop and he popped the hood. his radiator blew up. it was broke before but it had been patched. we pushed it back to his house and checked everything out. he had water on his spark plugs. now that is a crappy day, he just had his head gasket changed like two months ago.

but his turbo WAS working great

 

now he understands not everything will be perfect heh, so far nothing for me has ever went perfect

 

how much was this fool boosting?

 

at the top of second his boost gauge was reading 8 psi

 

damnnn you guys have some bad luck....that was funyy though .
I was boosting 15 psi on my D15 and it was always running good....

 

yeah no doubt, but he is getting his gasket replaced for $100 and one of his boys had a half radiator sitting at his house. so he should be on the road and killing unsuspecting victims soon .
what kind of numbers do you think he should do at the tack? it is a 95 4dr d15b with 7-9 psi he's a pretty good driver though. i told him low 15's-high 14's. what do you think?
