I had Aaron cut up some head flanges for the SOHC Escort motor, then some one else snatched them up and he is'nt doing it any more. Now people asking for them again.
So does anyone around here have the ability to make some nice head flanges?

 

I got my flanges from LSD bu I think BMC wll also make them for you just pm one of the vendors in the FS thread

 

I might actually start selling flanges. I gotta see how high the demand is first and if it will be worth it.


I always hated finding flanges because its such a pain in the *** to get people to cut them at a decent price.

 

And you will give me good deals right...I wanted to ask you where you got your stuff flanges and piping from if it was locally or not? I am going to try and make some manis for some friends

 

I always cut my own flanges (which I hate) since nobody ever has what I needed and the popular flange makers were a pain in the *** to order from. Now that I've got a 3 axis waterjet with 3 cutting heads I could cut 400 flanges in an hour


I used to get piping for dirt cheap from Brian, now I get it from napa

 

wish I would of known a week ago when I bought my flange online.

if you can make a dxf file or know someone who can, you can walk into any laser/waterjet place and hand them the disc and theyll cut you the flange no issues. the expensive part is them sitting there making the dxf files.

im working on a whole list of dxf files with my father right now. i coulld always go get a escort exhaust manifold gasket and do one up. each file only takes about 30 mins

 

You should spend less time trying to sell ---- on HMT and more time trying to ship out those manifolds that are 10 months on backorder

 

Well Aaron has my flange on file, I just dont know if he'll just hand it out since he put in the time.
So what do you other guy's charge for a head flange? Any were close to Aaron's old price of $33?
