I’m a knoob but I would agree when you are shifting and slamming you throttle closed you engine can pull about 22 inches of vacuum even with a turbo. This sucks oil past the rings or perhaps past the intake valve seals or worn guides. But if you rev the engine with no lode (in you drive way not moving) you only pull about 15-18. So do you smoke under no load I guess? Or smoke less?

Sitting still im pulling like 22 psi vac...If you let the car sit idling for about 2 minutes, and rev it up it will smoke.I'm just going to pull the motor back apart.

I know what broke ringlands do.I already went through that too many times.I don't have blowby bad enough to have ring lands broke.

I'm pulling 30 psi vac when i let off the gas downshifting.

Did this to mine this morning and that fixed it. I had the same "symptoms" that you described.

I know you said you checked the turbo, but this REALLY sounds like a blown turbine seal to me.... Just my $0.02

I can just take the turbo off and see if it still smokes.I bet it does.

I did the pcv valve drill out and it still smokes under 23-30psi vac. 20psi and below it don't.

I'm just going to put some rings in it friday.

If that don't stop it, than i'll know its in the head.
