I had a problem similar to this, it ended up being the oil drain tube not allowing proper flow back to the pan. And it smoked. Fixed it and it was fine.

OK If the smoke is BLUE i would look at either rebuilding your turbo with some new seals,(Shaft wont play if you have bad seals) or setup a slashcut catchcan system. <make sure your oil feed/drain lines are perfect. If the Smoke is white i would recomend a new HG. anyway you look at it, it shouldnt be over a 100$ fix. Oh by the way if its Positve chage blowby take a look at your CR and your spark plugs, if your pcv system is out of wack you should be loosing compression due to ring failure and your plugs will be oil fowled. i hope this helps.

thanks for all your feedback !!!!!!!!!!!

basiclly , ive bought a new headgasket and iam going to replace that and see wot happenes
if the car still smokes then ill rebuilt the turbo . and btw , iam gona go for a compression test
what sorta figers should i be expecting ??

so yea, alot of misinformation in here..

oil burning can also be white.. it is largely determined by where it is burnt..

My turbo was burning oil b/c of a bad turbine shaft seal, it would billow white smoke after a hard run, replaced it, no more smoke..

drop oil on a 800 deg F metal pipe and I bet the smoke is white.. similarly with my issue I had, the oil was being burnt, not during the combustion process.. it was white, looked like a horrible HG problem, it was not.

yeh the smoke is WHITE...

IAM NOT SURE TO REBUILT THE TURBO 1ST OR REPLACE THE HEADGASKET 1ST ??

because people are saying its my turbo and then others are saying its my HG ..

wot do u think ?

start with the cheapest/easiest..

IMO, its not your headgasket.. if its smoking white enough to be visible in your rear view then you should be losing coolant very fast and overheating..

rebuild the turbo, and do it yourself to save some money, all turbos are balanced(usually turbine and compressor wheel seperately) from the factory so just index (mark) the compressor wheel and the turbine shaft so you know how to line it back up when you reassemble..

the rest is really cake.. you don't even need a DIY to go by, just start taking it apart, its really pretty obvious.. be sure to use assembly lube when you replace the bearings..

see this is why i thought its not my headgasket !

because, why would i have oil in my intercooler pipes ? and oil in my exhaust system ?

but if my seals wheres blown on my turbo , wouldnt the car be smoking 24/7 ? as in not only in boost,

coz at the moment the car only smokes in boost.

another thing if u guys could help me answer ... would be

if my ringlands were fuked, wouldnt i have some sort of foam under my oil cap ?
