Default smoke coming out of valve cover breather?

hey i got a bit of a problem....ive got some smoke coming out of my valve cover breather all the time...even at idle....and the car runs like ---- til boost kicks in...it idles rough a bit....im thinking i blew a headgasket but im not sure....i dont see any oil mixing in my radiator....im gonna run a compression test tomarrow to eliminate that but it just bothers me cause im worried i blew out a headgasket or not....im running right off the o2 housing and i dont see any smoke coming out of the turbo...so it burns clean....i might take a look at my spark plugs also...but let me know what it meens when i have smoke coming out of my breather hole.

its just shoots puffs of air out at idle...its not an *** load but its enough to bother me...my friend johnny tells me its the heat in the head coming out...i have my dizzy retard'ed 4 degrees from stock...and i heard that when u retard ur timing at the dizzy it makes things hotter...so i dont know...let me know what u all think

it is normal to have a little air puff out...

mine does smokes a little only when you open up the oil cap, and it also puff out a little more than normal amount of air

it runs fine tho.

well....damnit....im gonna run a compression test and see what happens....but the only reason it idles rough is cause my timing issue...so im gonna set my timing back to stock and test it....if it comes out ok then its prolly the dizzy from being retarded 5 degrees and creating extra heat...so we will see...more than likely your right..UGH...looks like i gotta save to build my extra motor up now...i was hoping to avoid doing this so soon.
