Small Turbo donor car...which one?

Re: Small Turbo donor car...which one?
I think finding a turbo and the matching downpipe to work with your manifold and still keep a/c and p/s it one hell of a long shot. I say your best snail would just be a T3 from Slob 900/9000. Downpipe would probably be used with some work.

Re: Small Turbo donor car...which one?
If I did some kind of fancy wastegate relocation I could see easily fitting the AC compressor back into the stock location, it would just take some time and measuring to get it done right, along with a funky downpipe. But ----, I heard a 3" downpipe with a wastegate tie-in with a 14b would be a pain in the ***, but I did it no problem. 2" wastegate pipe tied into the 3" downpipe no problemo.

wikipedia to the rescue
"The TSi and TSi AWD models used the same engine but added an intercooled Mitsubishi 14b turbocharger producing 11.06 psi of peak boost from the factory, resulting in 195 horsepower on TSi AWD models. The front-drive TSi produced only 190 due to a more restrictive exhaust system, and automatic models only had 180 due to using a smaller 13g turbocharger and smaller fuel injectors"
