Small poof of white smoke?
My friend driving behind me today said when I steped on my engine, there was a tiny poof of white smoke from the exhaust and then it seemed fine. Anyone know what this may be? Hopefully not the rings :( The car is driving great otherwise.

Re:Small poof of white smoke?
the seals on my turbo took a ----, and i was getting the occasional puff of grayish white smoke. or it could be a head gasket.

Re:Small poof of white smoke?
If it was the head gasket, wouldnt I be getting some overheating problems?

Re:Small poof of white smoke?
I would think he's talking about when you shift? I think that usually has to do more with air/fuel being rich. Could be wrong, but I wouldn't worry about it until it's smoking at idle. :-X (then you have a problem.) ;)

Re:Small poof of white smoke?
ive looked at my car and it does it to when i "get on it" and leaves a smell right after for a couple of seconds. i just had my head rebuild with new valve stem seals, ets... hopefully it isnt my rings :-\. as a matter of fact it is smoking some white smoke now and the temp. is around 70 and its raining(if that makes any diff)
