Default Slow to hit full boost....

Alright guys, need some of you brains out there.

Got my turbo installed but it is taking it a century for boost to build up. Any thoughts on what is going on? In terms of setup specs: b16, t3 .60/.48, rc440cc, uberdata.

I'm thinking either my fucken deltagate wastegate is giving me ---- or my exhaust is too restrictive. I just got a new exhaust in 2.5" with glass or something resonator with 5zigen straight through muffler. I've been looking at other peoples setup and 2.25"-2.5" should be ok for most low boost setups, which makes me conclude that it might be my wastegate, because I dont get full boost of 6psi until 7k. My bro said that the wastegate is slightly open when he took it off last time. According to him, a gap the size of a 0.7mm pencil lead all around the plate that is supposed to close the exhaust hole.

I'm thinking those two things... Anyone else want to confirm, deny, or have any other idea what is going on?

well i have never heard anything good about a deltagate.i hit full boost on my b16 very quickly.u either have a boost leak or an exhaust leak(wg opening to early or not shutting fully)? 2.5" exhaust should not be too restrictive.

do u have a catalytic converter?

if so and it's clogged then that could be a big factor.

sounds like shitty deltagate

I started looking into external wastegates earlier... DAAAAMN eBay needs an option in their search to block out items listed by certain sellers *cough*www.ssautocrap.com*cough*
4 out of 5 wastegates on eBay are ------- SSautocrap, and even if they might be ok (which I'm assuming they're not) I would boycott SSautocrap because of their other shitty products and service.

I have a few tial wastegates sitting here and they all have a ring that fills the gap on the inlet side.(kinda like a gasket)I'm pretty sure the delta's should come with them also. With the gap being there,It's always exhausting. That is most likely the problem.Do you have an open dumptube? If so,put your hand there to see if it's exhausting.
