since NO ONE has correctly answered his problem..........

5th gear synchro, low oil level, or outercase main bearing is bad. Under load the gear will slip out into neutral.

What year B16 tranny? Cable/Hydro?????

99-00 Civic Si's had a TSB about this issue.

No ----. If it's popping out of gear then it's low on fluid, but you said it wasn;t and then you said it was. ???

I'm still going to say the clutch is on it's way out.

5th gear is where the clutch sees by far the most amount of torque.
So like 1435439 people already said, it's the clutch.
