Default a slightly different turbo application

I know most of the people on here have 4 cylinders, but i want to turbo my lexus sc400. here are the specs:

102k miles, just rebuilt, basically none.
1UZFE V8 4.0 Litre 205 HP

I need to know what size turbo i should use on it. After the turbo is done, not much wil be done to it, ssince it will cost me ALOT of money. I would apretiate anyones help for this =)

I would figure out what you are going to use for fuel management first.

Ok, I guess you aren't the n00b I thought you were.

I would go for at least a .60 turbine side and .63 for the compressor side. That's a nice sized motor to boost.

This one will spool up very fast and work great, but might be too small depending on what you want out of the motor.

You should have got the SC300, much better platform for a turbo 2JZ. They do make a supercharger kit for that car and that might be a better route. This guy has a charger on a 1UZ

Here's a SC400, its got massive traction problems.

you say that because you have no damn idea of what the 1uzfe can do , do you? *sighs* the 1uzfe is one fo the best engineered engines there are, they last about 420,000 miles. not to mention that they make descent power for a 4-litre. everyone and their brother has 2jz-gte or 2jz ge but immagine the look on their faces when they here a nice whistle sound from the sc400. with forged internals, this engine will go up to 400 hp easily with fuel adjustments.

boost: thanks for the turbo advice. Im currently setting a budget for everything. to begin with, itll prob run 8psi. after internals are built, and fuel, itll be 12-15 psi. damn i cant wait to see the looks of the people at seloc meeting, hehehehe

That would be a bit too small. He would spool the ---- out of it and poop out up top.

The reason I stay away from the 1UZ is because it comes with an auto tranny and there is no manuals that will bolt up to it. And I know that is the weakest link of that setup. Also the best Engineered block ever is the 2JZ-GTE, 1000hp on stock internals. Price BRAND NEW of shortblock $1500. Also with a V8 you should be expected to beat an inline 6. But good luck.

im backin up whitey on this one.

auto trannies are garbage if they arent aftermarket ones that can handle 500+hp like the ones for the american muscle cars.

ur probably gonna begin slipping at about 300hp depending on how used it is
