Here is my first set up i have ever done. Given the fact that i have an EF, and the lack of room explains the routing of pipes.

Questions, Comments, Concerns.....

do you think that silicone elbow is too close to the manifold?

Should i wrap it? How about a heat shield?

Nice car, I've had two of that same bodystyle. Can't tell it's your first setup. Looks good. What turbo you running?

Looks good! I love the 88-91 4 doors. Hows the half core fit with the etd trac bars?

Im not even sure the exact size. its t3/4 57trim maybe. It was from a rev hard kit originally. Only thing i used from the kit is the mani, and intercooler...

It would fit a lot better if i didnt have my downpipe in the way. With an all-motor set up, or someone who put more thought into placement of pipes, it would be perfect...

I have never driven the car. I have a massive fuel leak from the fuel sending unit. the hard lines are rotted through. It sucks...

I picked up my sisters, 88 hf for $275 last year, It ran great but had the good old imput shaft bearing noise. I went to the wrecking yard, picked up a trans for $60 and she is still driving that thing. I think it just turned 240,000 miles. :o

That part i could get but it would be the other 500-1000 to get it road worthy and boosted and for a guy who doesnt even have a Daily its a strech. Its totaly dirt cheap but its more than i can spare at teh moment, in due time. :y

this is an awsome build. good stuff,

i would get an aluminum 90 instead of the silicone.. and wrap it so you can avoid some heat exchange.

nice build man. I had ETD traction bars in my hatch. They worked pretty damn good.

I didn't Teflon any of my threads. I think i might have oil leaks. I was told by someone at a machine shop that you don't have to the Teflon NPT thread because it is tapered, and makes a seal when tightened...

I need a small radiator. Where can i get one? Anybody know what year/make/model i can use?

I think a 1989 Huyundai Excel might work...

Re: Sleeper Status ls/v @ 10psi Burgundy 4 Door

use a 92-00 civic half rad and gangster lean it for clearance 8)

theidealone 10-19-2008 11:21 PM

Re: Sleeper Status ls/v @ 10psi Burgundy 4 Door

i just cut out the lower radiator support, and let the lower radiator hose rest on the cross member, but since you have a traction bar, dont know how well that will work or wont.

Re: Sleeper Status ls/v @ 10psi Burgundy 4 Door

I have a half cut radiator in there now and it rubs my downpipe.

I really don't want to do a gangster lean. I want to keep it stock looking and clean. Not to say leaning looks hack... Well yes I guess I am saying that.

Do you guys see any issue with cutting the lower radiator support? Everywhere I look its 50/50 with people for and against...

Re: Sleeper Status ls/v @ 10psi Burgundy 4 Door

People use to use Neon rads because there a bit smaller the the civic half rad.

Look up the 95 Dodge Neon W/O ac. That rad will fit alot better, but you will need to get a inline cap, because the neon rad dose not have one.

I believe this is a short version of a eg radiator. Kinda pricey for me.

your setup fits my style in every way.
nice, clean and simple. makes the v8 guys cry even harder when you annihilate them.
i especially like how you kept it as oem as possible. didnt molest the bumper.
good job

4door89 10-21-2008 04:26 PM

Re: Sleeper Status ls/v @ 10psi Burgundy 4 Door

ya, i made sure to try and keep as much of the bumper support as possible. A friend of mine took his out completely, and the bumper looked like ---- afterwards...

All i did was cut just enough to make the intercooler fit... everything still bolts up oem style...

theidealone 10-21-2008 08:28 PM

Re: Sleeper Status ls/v @ 10psi Burgundy 4 Door

Yea, I got lazy and left my bumper support out, and zip tied the cover on... now it sags in spots. :( So good call. Cus now I need to go to the Junk Yard and find another support that I can hack apart.
