Default skyline turbo

A friend of mine is selling a t3 turbo off of a Nissan skyline(not sure of model). Has anyone had any experience running this turbo on a d serise motor(d16z6). The price is right and from what I've read these turbos can handle over 300 horse. Thanks.

Those have ceramic turbines and have been known to shatter. That have a t3 or a t28 flange on them I believe.

Is it off of an RB25(GT-S) our RB26(GT-R)? Don't know if it make a difference. This is what I know about the GT-S turbo.

The turbo does have a Ceramic turbine blade. Has been known to shatter, but on a honda, couldn't ever see it happening!! The only time it shatters is on high HP being spun be a straight 6 and not an I4. (Remeber, these cars see Factory HP levels that some of us guys could dream of!)

It also has a low inertia Plastic Compressor wheel. Great for fast spools.

And it has a ballbearing Center!!!

Could you go wrong? I say no. If you don't want it, give your friends number and I will buy it!!!

Oh, by the way. They have a Nissan specific downpipe flange, so if you want a custom downpipe, you will have to fab a flange yourself. No biggy, Just thought I'd let you know!
