so im a noob b/c I dont recognize a hardly visible s2 emblem? ::) how am I supposed to even make that out? I've never seen/bought any skunk2 products.

Anyways, its ----. Not much better over the stock h22 mani. You would be better of going with a euro r manifold. Makes way more power, and is cheaper if you know where to get it. :y

I never said/insinuated/thought that a stock h22 IM outflows the skunk2.

What I said was that the skunk2 is not much better than the stock one. He would have been MUCH better off with a euro r IM.

SUx that the build thread hads gone to ----, i thought it might be cool to have a progress thread on what is going on, since its actually a build thread instead of a ------ this and ------ that thread (including myself)... Why should I suck your balls? Cus you bought a crappy manifold that's not much better than stock?

A Euro R manifold will outflow and make more power than that skunk2 any day, it also costs less. It is also an OEM part.

And since it looks like you're going for some top end power, it would suit your needs much better.

I've seen stock h22's make more on crome.


With some supporting mods, it will make more power, of course. But so will a Euro R. And why not start with a better platform?

To the haters......If you want to start a Skunk 2 bashing thread dont be a ------, start a new thread and do it there. Its fine. Its also been extrude honed, and IM SURE it flows better than the Euro R manifold, now dont be gay... and quit owning yourself.

Like I said, i'm not bashing/hating.

It was simple advice/opinions and your buddies got all defensive about the skunk2 manifold. I showed the proof. There's not much else to say. If you want to roll with a crappy part, then go ahead. More power to you.

I actually like your build and was hoping I could go check it out sometime. Since you didnt send me the chip, I could always go up there and give you a visit since I have tons of friends up there. I'll take my laptop and burner.

ok, so the motor is not being stuffed with air, it flows crappy then.

The Nig Nog head flange is the key here. Thats the glue that will hold this build together. Looks amazing. Nice work.

i guess im the only one thats gonna agree on the skunk2 intake mani. i think people just buy em because the name they got copying the type-r b series mani and assume its good. its certainly not the one i would chose but i also certainly do not have a pimp ass sleeved h22 with a t4 on it either.

the build looks great man honestly and your gonna put it together make awsome power but im sure a retrofitted d15 turd mani would still make alot of power on that motor so its all relative. if i was going that far with a build id look into something along the lines of a h series version of a victor x, large plenum, short fat runners not a small plenum with long skinny runners like that skuk2. it might even be worthwhile to fab something up ala ross machineshop style...

so now the big question is, what gets attached to that head flange... you know we all want to see the manifold pics...

they dont make any good IM's for the H, i know that... thats why i suggested custom, however i understand thats $$ i hope you understand im not tryin gto nitpick, just tryin to help..

so like i said it doesnt matter what IM you have on therer its gonna make a ton of power but i woulda just slapped a stock one on there till i got a pimp custom one....

PIMPIN BUILD so far. Can I get a ride some time? ha anyway, sort of off topic, but that link d112------ish posted about the skunk2 im on hondatech is total bullshit. It showed the graph after adding both the intake manifold AND an s300 tune. For all we know the car could have been tuned by a goat with seven legs. The manifold is obviously designed for someone with more serious mods than just an aem intake to begin with. I've never personally used a skunk2 manifold, but I'm pretty sure theres some heavy r&d behind their products, shown by the badass cars they build. Ah whatever, I'm drunk.
