Diamond Star Motors is like Mitsubishi and Chryslyer and some others... All their logos have stars in them. I don't think it's an aftermarket thing, just a bunch of goofy people who decided to group them all together into some kind of elite club. :-*

Anyway, I don't think it rubs the bumper. I mounted it and put the bumper back on and it seems to fit ok. I don't plan on having the SMIC setup for too long (maybe go FM next spring) so ---- it. The only problem is that I will have to cut the splash guards a little, but that just means more cooling air.

Here are some more pics. Running the IC pipe to the IC was a bitch. I had to make a crappy bracket to relocate the clutch lever thing (still don't know what it's called :-X). Last pic shows it mounted 2 or 3 inches below where it originally way. Enjoy!

You mind me requesting one more pic from you? I wanna see how it looks overall without the bumper on (if you haven't put it on yet). I'm trying to think if that little vent where the oem fogs go would cover up the smic. Cause then I could just cut of the back plastic and some of the guard to help aid the flow.

Amen. Air flow is what I'm wondering about too. Also, just how much good does a small intercooler like that realy do?

I'll get back with you on the pic tomorrow...

As far as airflow, it's gotta be better than nothing and that area inside the bumper is the same spot a cold air intake would get it's air from. I've been told that heat soak can be a problem, but again, it's probably good for a first time and cheap setup.

DSM is Diamond Star Motors. Eclipse, Talon, Galant VR4 and a few others I think.

Willy, set up looks good. Thanks for all the pics man!

T-Shirt Ninja, nice to see you posting bro. I was thinking for flow purposes you could cut out the plastic between the black grill bars. Though the IC would be kind of visable then.
