shim the CDM wastegate
anyone cheap enough to try and shim there wastegate? if so what did you use and what was the outcome.. i got a 5.8 psi spring i was thinking about finding a large washer or somthing to try and bump it up to 8psi or so

Probably just easier to make or buy a boost controller.

Yea, you can use a few washers to shim your wastgate (im assuming where the bracket bolts to the turbo)... I did it on mine once, and it worked well..
1 washer upped me about 2psi... I also bent the bracket once, to up the boost. It worked, but you have to watch out not to get the arm crooked, or it will bind. |

It'll work, but just check to see that the valve will still open 100% and not bottom out from the washers. You might get boost creep if that happens. |

I can get springs for thsoe WGs, comes in set of 4 at a redulious price.
but then the problem is no one knows how many psi they are at LOL |

Im running the stock spring on one of my set-ups right now. 6-7 spring rate. lookin for 11 psi spring. |
