I don't run synthetic oil either.

Either Exxon Superflo or whatever is on sale. I've about used up my Exxon stash, they had it for 4.99 a gallon jug about 1.5 years ago.

My grandfather taught me about changing the oil sooner. He worked on Heavy Equipment (Dozer and Grader) so he had access to free oil. every 2500 mile he'd change the oil and filter onhid 68 Ford p'up. He also spray the underbody with used (STINKY ----!) gear oil from a Earthmover, then drove around for a hour in the open highway that was being built.

The oil settled on the dust, free undercoating.

If anyone knows about the old Ford trucks, the cab mounts would rust and sag, his never did. He died in 1981 with a rust free Ford truck.

Seafoam is the only thing I use
im guessing you have never read the bottle? because it says a recomendation of 1/3 in the oil right before you change it just to clean it up a bit. not sure exact wording but if your buying the seafoam you say you are. then it should say it right on the bottle. damn it feels good to be a gangsta

this is how i did it but just let it skimmed the top and not just stick it in letting it gobble it up.

I've only ever used sea foam as well. the way i was told (might be on the bottle) was 1/3 in your gas, 1/3 in your oil, and 1/3 in your pcv and let it run for 20 min. it kicks out all kinds of nasty black smoke and ----, but it always seemed to do the trick. it also works great to clean up engine parts with a wire brush
