SCAT rods wont fit in the cylinder bore???

Once you've installed the rods, GENTLY rotate the crank back and forth to see where the rods hit the block because you will have to notch the block.

he isnt talking about hitting the bottom of the cylinders, he is talking about the rods not fitting down the bore during installation. Either way, I woudnt shave them down, call wherever you got them from or scat directly and tell them the situation.

I got them in this morning. They were extremely tight. I soaked them with oil and pushed them in.

i would have chucked them in the freezer overnight or keept the block out in the sun in the morning.

the early Tuner Toys rods did the same thing. shaving a little off the side might throw the balance off...

The angle is EVERYTHING when dropping it in. Most rods I've seen are all ballanced, grinding woulda screwed more than that up too. Screw up the case hardening and introduce poorly angled scratches, and you get big stress/crack issues.

I get that too, I just make sure she uses a big ---- plug in both holes for a spell before I'm totally hard. Wait did I read that wrong?
