Default SBC timing

hey out there, I am looking for input on what some of you might be running for timing?

Here is a break down of what I have:
366 sbc all forged internals 7.5:1 compression
533/523 full roller cam with 1.5 full roller rockers
super victor intake manifold
msd HEI dist with 6al box with all mech and vac advance locked out
twin t3t4 61mm 63ar turbos
Bary Grant blow thru 750 cfm carb
Turbo 350 tranny w/ trans brake

Right now I am launching @4200 rpm and the motor never drops below 4400 while going through the gears.
My timing is currently set @ 12 deg and runs good but the motor feels like it could go faster. What do any of you think?

lock it out at around 20-22*, that's what all the turbo stang boys do.

well that is exactly where i have it set, @18 deg locked I have been as high as 28 and low as 12 but 18 has so far been the best. I have found that 18 has been the best and 18 is really good when I hit the bottle off the line.

42 degs! that is a good way too blow the motor, I know cause I did that. the more boost you push the less timing you want

Lol, I know, its fuel injected, ECU controlled variable timing, not fixed. The car w/ these tiny turbos make way more power w/ advanced timing & a little less boost.

It starts around 23, if 0-3 counts of knock, it keeps advancing, if 3-5 counts, it does nothing, and anything over it retards.
