point is, he is running a t3. the b16 in stock form can handle way more power than that turbo could EVER make...

 

Nope. They start blowing real hot before they run out of air. You can blow a B16 at 2/3rds a .60 T3's output if you're not careful - I make a point of setting up Advanced tables in Crome to pull timing and add fuel if IATs get high.

 

See that is wjat im talking about. i dont know how to do that and or what i should be setting things at. I have been reading everything i can find on tuning i just am not sure if i get it is all.

 

I've been working with Wes on getting him up to speed as a Tuenarboi. He's an average intelligent guy and has really latched on to everything that is going on because he has a good grasp of mechanics, but there is a LOT of small finesse things going on here.

I started with UD, as easy as it gets, and worked my way through UD's quirks (set TPS to get rid of bucking, etc). Then I started with Crome once they started adding all the features, and got used to what was there as the huge lot of features Crome now has slowly developed. It's easy to learn as you go, especially when it's drawn out over time.

You might just want to shoot for small power (start at 6, and make the jump to 10 pretty quick you aren't doing anything extreme with this current build) and DIY with UD, then once you have the basics start with Crome and learn how to use it one feature or add-on at a time. It takes more time to digest it all between learning sessions, and it'll be a couple months before you have a whole lot of confidence. Just don't get disheartened, and keep working at it.

ya tunning is alot harder when theres tons of options lol. and then something always goes wrong. how to make everything run right takes some skills. i couldnt of got my car finished without my friend and david helping me out and tuning my car. but im hoping that eventually i will be able to do everything myself which of course i will because i have the determination and the will to learn it. but it just isnt going to happen all at once. sence i turned 16 and now being 21 i have learned alot about cars. and just when you think you learned almost everything theres more.

haha ya its good to have a hobby that you cant learn it all. because its alot harder to get bored that way.
