Saab T3 + HF= NO WAY!
Well no matter what orientation I put the housing at will this turbo fit. The waste gate accuator is hitting the block. I may have to make a wedge style adapter or just build a log style manifold. Any suggestions?

Re:Saab T3 + HF= NO WAY!
it can be done!! just grind the block a lil, grind the flange that holds the wastegate a lil so it sits closer to the turbo, and u can even bang on the wastegate a lil bit.
i had to beat on the wastegate a lil bit on both sides. it touches the turbo and the block. works good since now it acts like a bottom support for the turbo. .http://www.hondaswap.com/gallery/ima...9be3b0ea75.jpg |
Re:Saab T3 + HF= NO WAY!
look here... my wastegate isnt even on the turbo.. i had to extend it like an inch and a half and i just screwed it into the block in an empty hole.. worked just fine for me. i'm happily boosting 10 psi.

Re:Saab T3 + HF= NO WAY!
I worked on it a little last night. I would prefer the exhaust was on the drivers side but that wont happen here. I spun the cold section every which way and I think it will work. I an going to make my own adapter to push it out away from the block or build a log manifold. Thanks for the support.

I have the O2 housing for the Saab that I want to use. I think I am going to try to make a wedge adapter. I'll post pics if I get on together.

Re:Saab T3 + HF= NO WAY!
you could also get a manifold flange and space out your manifold if that'll work. i wish i had thought of this before i did mine. i would have had a hella more room for larger intake.

That also seems like a good way to go sctty. I will look into that as well. I would just need longer studs. Has anyone else done this?
