Re:Saab BOV
Just keep in mund that Volvos and Saabs dont use blow off valves. They are diverter valves and they open with vacume. That meens that they suck in air.You have to be carefull where you put them or they will suck in debree/water.
A true blow off valve has a dual diaphram and will not take in air at vacume.
I used the volvo one that I got at the parts yard for $6.

Re:Saab BOV
That is just a write up that some one did .
All I know is that if you go to the dealer and ask for a Bosch B.O.V they will be like .
Its called a diverter valve because it diverts the presurized air from the charge pipes to the pipe connected yo the compressor inlet(usualy). This is because in cars like Saabs,Volvos,V.W they all use mass airflow meters(or sensors). If the presurized air is released into the atmosphere it will ---- up the volume of air that has just passed through the MAFM and throw a CEL.I have a 99 Passat and it has that same gay *** bosch valve.I say gay because they tend to stick after a while.
If you put vacume from your manifold to a diverter valve it will open(you can see inside of it :P).Thats how I used to check them to make shure they were good when I pulled them off and resold them.
