What the ---- happened my turbo fried before the motor blew
all i have to say iz that the ---- has massive shaft play and the finz started to shave into the housing any idea out there why this happened? I had sufficient amount of oil pressure? I had good oil quality!!! Could it be becuase the turbo came off of an engine that was only 2.0L and mine is a 2.5 and the amount of work it takes to build up to desired amount of boost would be harder to acheive in the larger engine and the turbo may have simply over boosted? or am i just being dumb and the ---- didnt have enough oil pressure because the banjo bolt only had one hole in it?

How do you know the pressure was all good? How was the turbo mounted? It still could have been running too hot. Any crap in it? What condition was it in before you put it on the S-10?

BEFORE IT WENT IN THE SHAFT HAD NO PLAY WHATSO EVER AND NO CRAP IN IT and it was mounted like stock location, and i know the pressure was all g because i tested it without the turbo on and the hose loose and the ---- shot out like mother and could not hold the hose in your hand was simmilar to a fire hose with all the firemen riding it like a giant snake!! The only thing is out of the five or six times i ran the thing i only let it spool down for under a minute 
you guys think maybe the hot oil got caked on the shaft and threw it outa balence the next time i ran it?? or is my theory about the 2.0 vs the 2.5 overboost thing a better reason why the ---- burned?? i am clue less on why this happened.
i would like to learn from my mistake that way it wont happen again if and when i find another turbo! I might be setting up a deal for a chrysler leberon turbo is this a good unit or doots??
