a SEQUENTIAL twin setup would kick ass on a d16z6. It would be massively cool.

It probably wouldn't be that bad... i think it has valves, you'd have to figure out the workings of it. It's kind of a complex switching system, and I'm not sure if it happens automatically. Look into it a little. It will be very cool if you make it work~!!!!

As a person with a twin turbo honda I wouldn't reccomend it. To get everything to fit you are going to have to do some major cutting and welding. also your going to have more lag than if youd run a single turbo. They are sequential so that'll help a the lag a little bit, but than you have a complicated vaccum system. Tuning is insane to get them to run right. I have 450cc injectors and a 255lph fuel pump and I was still running lean with the VAFC in the positive. I had to put the FMU back on it in order to get a smooth fuel curve. say goodbye to your gas mileage.

remember anything can be done, its just a matter of how much time/effort/money you want to invest. Remember you also have to face the fact that after you invested countless hours into it you might need to throw it all away becuase it doesn't work.

With all that said, good luck

whitey...with the afc in the positive werent you getting map cels?

Re:RX7 Twin turbo

no, I wasn't getting a CEL but right now I don't even have the check engine light hooked up right now becuase I'm rewiring the instrument cluster.

Why would you think that having the AFC in the positive would throw a map code?

Re:RX7 Twin turbo

because when you hit boost the ecu should freak out...with it in negatives, it scales back the map voltage enough to keep the ecu from freaking....maybe i got this wrong, it might depend how much boost you are running...its too late to think now

Guys I own an fd and I can tell you the sequential twins would be a pain to run sequentially. There are something like 70+ vacuum lines and about a dozen solenoids that help it operate. You would be much better off running them non-sequential. They are Hitachi ht-12's by the way and I have heard of people pushing up to 18psi through them although I'm sure that's beyone there efficiency range. The most I have ran is around 12psi. I am single turbo now though with a Greddy t-78.

look wat iii got.hehehe

If you guys dont already know i have a crx with a tdo4, but that project is done. i will either go dual cam or single cam- twin turbine.

with the rx7 twin setup what ive noticed is that there are two small exhasut intlets -left and right- and another for a wastegate(the middle one in the pic). im sure the middle opening is the one that actually controls the sequential pattern of these turbos.

for the wastegate acutators they both open when boost is sensed in the compressor housing. the acutators do have two nipples comming out of them but im sure they are for boost guages or some other sort of boost sensing mechanisms.
