RX7 Twin turbo

Anyone ever try putting an RX7 twin setup on a civic. My friend is upgrading to a single on his so he's going to sell me his setup really cheap, if I wanted it. Would this be a Bitch to hook up? I'm thinking I could use his stock downpipe too. SAFC and DSM's for fuel. What do you think?

uhh... no.

i have seen a tt setup with a honda before' but.. ugh the fabrication.. the hours... ugh.. just go single turbo.. why would you want to go twin turbo. have you done anything to your engine?? i dont see the advantages of going twin turbo and running 7psi cus thats all your stock engine can hold unless tuned.

my .02

go single turbo save the $$ and the >:(

well i agree about the tt being a waste other than the coolness factor...but stock hondas can take more than 7 psi...what do you mean by tuned? dyno tuned?

Re:RX7 Twin turbo

blah- i figured i was being too general'

you know... VAFC Hack- DSM injectors- FMU - all that other jibberish'

i agree they can handle more boost then 7psi... again, just being general'

Re:RX7 Twin turbo

well its not going to hold any boost for very long without one of the things you mentioned....off topic i know...back to the tt thing...give it a shot if its really cheap and you dont mind it possibly not working well

Re:RX7 Twin turbo

Like I said I would use 450's and a SAFC to tune. Besides the hours of fab work, are there any other problems? It wont cost more because I'm getting it from a friend. It's a sequential setup, so I would have minimal lag with a bunch of power especially on a Honda. Oh, and the cool factor.

well i dont know how well it would work...is this a d or b series....i dont know ---- about how big those turbos are

Re:RX7 Twin turbo

Either on a D15B7 or a D16Z6, I have access to both. The turbos are about the size of a T25, maybe a little bigger.

Re:RX7 Twin turbo

gotta remember there are two...does the whole assembly physically fit in there?

Re:RX7 Twin turbo

I'm fairly sure it will fit, Without AC I have crazy room in my engine bay, I can stand in there.
